Safety and eligibility

Not everyone qualifies for a program. Licensed-provider review is required before any treatment.

Weight-management medications

Semaglutide and tirzepatide can cause nausea and other stomach effects. Some carry a boxed warning about thyroid C-cell tumors seen in rodents. People with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, or with Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, are typically told not to use them.

Compounded medications

Some products may be compounded and are not FDA-approved. Compounded medications may be prescribed for an individual patient when a licensed clinician determines they are clinically appropriate. Individual results vary; no outcome is promised.

Eligibility and emergencies

State restrictions may apply, and availability varies by program. Additional information or laboratory work may be requested. Nitro does not provide emergency care. Call 911 in an emergency.
